The Co-Creative Rundown

“When you hire me for a commission, you are leasing my hands and my mind. You have access to me—it’s an intimate exchange of attention.”

CREATIVE HANDS WITH AN INTUITIVE TOUCH If you’ve ever envisioned having my work personally created for your home, business, or other commercial space, I would love to hear about that vision of yours.

EXCLUSIVITY — The pieces commissioned by my collectors are one-of-a-kind and never reproduced unless discussed otherwise. I welcome clients who are just beginning to collect art as well as those who have been collecting for years. It all starts with an introduction call and a commission blueprint that I design and tailor to each and every client.

WHY — Commissions can be a really special investment to make for yourself and the spaces you call home or in which you conduct business. Live and let live because art is a vitality, and I value artistic excellence.

Commission FAQs

  • Once you’ve filled out a commission application, I send you a link to my calendar to schedule our first call.

We discuss the commission blueprints I make for my commission clients, how you found me, and how you want to feel in the company of my art. I will also walk you through the co-creative onboarding process and outline the access you have to me when you are leasing my hands and my mind to make you a personal piece.

  • Commissions have an upcharge depending on the size and scale of the custom work. This percentage averages around 18% more than paintings in the gallery collections because of the access you are getting to me during the co-creative custom process. It’s an exclusive exchange of energy.

Once approved for a commission, half of the quote is due to keep the reservation and get started.
The remainder is due upon satisfaction of completion prior to shipping/delivery.

  • Turnaround can vary depending on the nature of the custom work. Commissions typically take 3-5 weeks to complete unless otherwise discussed. Accommodations for special occasions and deadlines can be made with notice and request.

  • Paintings ship within 3-5 business days of final payment unless prior alternative delivery arrangements have been agreed on between the artist and client.

  • Commission clients get a special access in the capacity that you are emotionally inviting me into your space and world, and I take that responsibility personally. I invite you into the creative so that we can connect the vision with the creative, and I work with you to reach that understanding. We exchange dialogue, progressions, and phone calls until the art is compete.

When you share works of mine from my portfolio and social media that resonate, my mind will pick up on the patterns of what your eye enjoys. I encourage you to share photos of your space, fabric samples, color preferences, and anything else you find relevant and that makes you excited to get involved.

For those who prefer to be less hands-on, once our initial onboarding is complete, we can limit our interaction to periodic checkpoints with visuals during the making of your art. Clients get approval prior to final varnishing. Paintings arrive wired and ready to hang.

  • Most clients spend between $1,800-$2,400 on custom paintings.

  • Commissions have a $1,000 minimum.
Prices increase accordingly based on the size and scope of the project.

  • If you’re asking this question, you’re already half-way there.
Most commission conversations begin this way—

    • “This piece in your gallery has already sold, but can you make something like it?”

    • “Could you make me a painting similar to ‘The Endgame Player’ but with more cool tones and neutrals?”

    • “I really like ‘The Show Must Go On,’ but could we make it a 40 × 40 piece with less green and add gold leaf?”

      And so forth.
